Your Right To A Trial By Jury

Today the largest number of convictions are obtained through plea-bargains, 95% to be specific. This is due to people not opting to go to trial in an effort to make things easier, which is never the case. It only allows for more corruption in the system. Therefore, it is your duty as an American to request a trial by jury. Not only that; it is your only chance at a fair deal.

Plea-Bargains have a way of comming back and making things worse later on down the road. The DA does not want everyone going to trial, it would break the system if everyone were requesting a trial. There simply are too many cases and nowhere near enough Judges, clerks etc.. to consider going to trial on each and every case brought before the court.

When the DA gets you to take a Deal/Plea-Bargain you are admitting to things you might not have done and will loose rights you might not realize. Often times a part of the "Deal" is that you waive your 4th ammendment right, this is your right to privacy. This will mean that the police can search you and your home at any time without any probable cause, not only that they can search any place, vehicle or person you are with/at/in.

Regardless; of the charges against you, take it to trial.
For minor offenses they will most likely drop the charges. Most of the time you go half way through the process before a Plea is offered. Only half of the process is left undone if you opt out you are missing the most important part of the whole process.

Regardless of your case and court history if you take it to trial you still have the best chance at fairness and not endangering your future or others close to you. The more people who do this the more obvious it will be that our courts are flooded with rediculous cases and innocent people are being turned into minor criminals.

By allowing the Plea-Bargain you are feeding the fat cow so to speak. You are enabling the system to use the lie that you are now a criminal and request funds from the Federal government to assist with the drug/crime/gang member rise in the community. By taking the Plea you are also cutting out any assistance of Federal aide. Student loans, housing many things never considered because you are too busy with not understanding what is going on.

This is precisely what the DA wants, for you to be confused and scared so that you will take a deal.

I am writing this to help you understand how to manevur through the courts with the least casualties as possible. I have been through the trial process twice in the county courts once in the appeal court and am presently in the process of going to the State Supreme Court and the Federal court and have only suffered a short amount of time lost and a great many growths personally. So from my experiences I can say that it is not as bad as it is made out to be, if you work it right.

Don't take a deal and sell yourself short for a quick get a way you will regret it later and wish you didn't and probably curse or throw something down who knows but you will definately not feel that you made the right choice before.

So do your self a favor and stand up for your rights!

Peace,
N8.
