Closet Potheads II

Not long after I started this blog, about 5 months ago, I wrote a post asking for people's stories of being a closet pothead. It was inspired by Andrew Sullivan's Cannabis Closet series, and I got several good comments.

Since this blog has so many more readers now, I thought it would be a good idea to post this again, and see what kind of stories are out there. Please leave your stories in the comments section (you can post anonymously of course) if you are a closet pothead, no matter what the reason.

Potheads are all over this country, in every state, in every conceivable profession. They cannot smoke openly for a whole host of reasons, but the main reason is marijuana's prohibition. Maybe someday these people can come out of the closet.

I was only quiet because I didn't want to get in trouble. I hardly told anyone because I didn't trust anyone. Classic anti social and paranoid behavior completely due to marijuana prohibition.

I only speak up now because I quit smoking (very unfortunate - I want it - I love it)

LEGALIZE NOW

Prohibition, profession and small town makes it real hard on a closet smoker in the Midwest. Allergies seem to always seem to be bothering me in my home town, at least that is what I say about my eyes.

Keep on smoking, burn right thru prohibition!

People know that I smoke...its no big secret. I just don't openly dicuss or advertise it at my place of business or any where else that it may not be commonly accepted. I'll burn till the day I die,

I myself am a closet pothead and I hate that I have to be that way. I live in south Mississippi (bible belt at its best) and people look down on it badly. I have to hide it from my family, co-workers, and alot of my friends. My main reason for not coming out is my job. I am a manager of a cellular company and can be drug tested if there is any suspicion. I consistently meet my numbers and have been an over achiever in my company since I started. I hid it from my wife before we got married and for a while afterwards because I knew how she would react. I eventually told her and she reacted just as I knew she would mainly because of religious reasons. I have been working on her and she is slowly coming around. She still doesn't really care for it but I think eventually she will be ok with it. I am very close to my family who would be very upset if they knew. Although my dad dips a can of snuff and drinks a 6 pack a day he thinks pot is horrible! I hate that I have to hide who I am like I do but hey, its what I have to do.

It sucks to be in the closet. Its dark and lonely in here. But seriously, I have smoked for almost 15 years and have never really had to stay in the closet till recently, u see i am a stay at home dad now and well sittin back on the couch and pullin a big one is not a option. So i continue to sneeka toke on the patio. its my medication, me and the kids get along much better now. but its still a buncha bs we can buy cigs and alcohol all day long and go out and kill ourselves and others. BUT GOD HAVE MERCY IF WE WANNA SMOKE UP A LIL

No longer in the closet, as one of the launchers of RastaVacations, I no longer care who knows I smoke! Follow us on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/rastavacations and see our site rastavacations.com. Interesting note - I came following Ayn Rand link, not pot link...

I cannot say that I hide being a pothead, because it is my entire lifestyle. I live life by smoking around 20 joints a day with a friend or two. Using a zigzag joint roller we have our pretty girl friends roll them for us, because they think it's the shit haaha. My friends and I casually sit back, drink grey goose and Simply Orange and smoke paperplanes while we discuss important issues such as the following

-WHO IS THE HOTTEST IN HIPHOP (must meet a variety of standards, and no lil wayne is not the best..)

-WHAT IS THE CURRENT SWAG (cannot go into much detail, not enough room)

-SWAG GIRLS/ FINEE GIRLS (once again, not enough room)

but for real if you want to know someone who spends their whole life on the internet learning about true swag and knowing everything there needs to be known about it check out his twitter and i promise you he's too legit. name is Antonio Myles aka Prince Breezy
